Getting Started<\/h5>
In the late 1980s, patriarch Philip Buerk and son Shain wanted to carry on \u2013 and share \u2013 our tradition of eating meals as a family, so we opened our own restaurant \u2013 Caf\u00e9 Marie.<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Finding Our Niche<\/h5>
While many restaurants were positioning themselves by offering a broad menu to their target market, our team believed in the power of specializing. By targeting core hours and becoming experts at just two segments \u2013 breakfast and lunch \u2013 we created a clever, new restaurant concept that allowed us to close our doors in mid-afternoon, letting other restaurants handle the dinner rush while we spent evenings with our families. <\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The Family Restaurant Franchise Grows<\/h5>
Focusing on our niche \u2014 doing only what we do best \u2014 we decided that all locations should adopt a name that communicated their expertise, and Scramblers was born. Weekly, eager customers packed our restaurants for breakfast on Sunday mornings. With obvious growth potential in sight, in 2005 Scramblers became a family restaurant franchise, much to the delight of eager business partners.<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
